start solar were excellent at guiding us through all the options we had when it came to adding solar and a battery to our house. From the initial phone chat with Suzie, to our assessment with Andrew, we were confident we had picked the right business to work with.

I was particularly keen to ensure that the installation was neat and fitted in well with the existing design of the house, which is where Damien and the install team did such an excellent job. I’ve been so happy the whole process – we have not imported any electricity from the grid since the install one month ago (in fact we are now exporting!).

I had 16 Solar panels totally 7.12Kw (10 on front roof, 6 on back) installed on 30 Jul along with 2x 5Kw batteries.
I was very surprised that only 2 guys turned up as I was expecting a huge crew considering the work.
The two guys were tidy, polite & had the install finished & handed over by lunch time. Can’t fault them.

The initial consultation with Andrew was also quick & painless & he messaged the evening of the install to check I was happy with how the guys had worked & behaved while at my house.

The install was delayed due to the bank taking FOREVER to get the loan sorted but once the money had arrived in my account the install was complete within 2 weeks.

System is generating away, charging my EV, running the house & exporting a little which is impressive since it’s been cloudy & wet since the install.

Would definitely recommend start solar to friends looking Solar in Northern Ireland.

Absolutely delighted with my solar panels, Suzie came out to the house and gave us a great breakdown of how the systems worked, we opted for 16 panels, battery and inverter, already seeing the savings.

The guys on the install were very professional polite and very tidy, after the install they sat with me and went through the app in detail and how it all works..

From the very start I spoke to a sales man called Zaffy and he talked me through the whole process of solar panels and gave me all the advice I needed he was genuine and very obliging as i wasn’t the easiest to deal with, the day of installation all the lads were really nice and professional and done a excellent tidy job, they made sure before they left i was set up using the app and explained everything,im delighted I chose start solar for my solar panels and would strongly advise anyone looking for solar installation to give these lads a shout

Decided to investigate solar power . Looked at a few providers but settled on Start Solar. They set very clear expectations on what to expect from solar energy and were very competitive if not the best quote. Great communication throughout the process and installation was within 2 weeks of order. I’m not underestimating the work involved on the installation day but it felt simple and hassle free. No mess no upheaval no fuss.

The installation team were friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to explain how it would work they also set up the app for both the main system and EV charger and explained how to use it. I’m a few days in to the system and I have no doubt that Solar is the way to go.

We have had our solar panels for about 3 months now. Our experience with each person connected with start solar was positive. Everyone was friendly and very professional at all times. They have made the whole process straightforward and we are enjoying the benefits of the panels. Highly recommended.

We’d been thinking of getting solar panels installed for a number of years, but just hadn’t gotten around to doing anything about it…..until now!

The team at start solar installed 17 panels, battery storage, and EV charger and water heater a few weeks ago, and we’re addicted to watching the APP showing the energy being harvested from the sun and locked into the battery for use during the day. Our electric bills are high, working from home, electricity is in constant demand. Since the installation, we’ve used practically no electricity, and we anticipate a payback from the system within 4 to 5 years.

The inverter and battery were installed in the roof space, leaving the wall space in the garage free. The water heater was installed in the Hot Press, and heats the domestic hot water supply when the battery is charged (but you can divert the energy directly to the water heater at will if needed rather than it going directly to the battery). The APPs that track the electricity generation are easy to use, and the system takes care of itself with no intervention needed once set up.

Brilliant service from start to finish. The whole solar panel, battery and converter were explained well. Everything was placed and fitted with minimal disruption to me. These guys know their stuff and just got on with it from the starting block to the finish line. I knew the basics about going solar but since being fitted I have learned so much more. It is definitely worth it, hassle-free and financially rewarding on your fuel bill – always a bonus.
